Welcome back! This week Lyra Parish asked, how many words have you published or written?

This requires math, which is not my best subject, but lets figure it out.

I have 5 full length books that I consider my “practice” books. They are good stories but the work required to make them good enough to read means that they stay locked in the closet. That’s 5 books at approximately 80K words each = 400,000 words unpublished.

I’ve had 6 novella’s published: Mayan Afterglow, Mayan Craving, Mayan Inferno, Christmas Bliss (Will be available again on Nov. 1), Wishing Game, Revving up the Holidays. These averaged 35K. So 210,000 words

.

I have had the good fortune to have 7 of my novels published:  Kane’s Bounty, Joshua’s Mistake, Training Rain (Will be available again Early 2017), Alaskan Exposure (out of print for now), Ascension, Deception, Betrayal and Tainted bride. At approximately 80K each = 560,000 words

.

I have 1 novella = 40K and 3 novels = 80K a piece, which are in a pre-published state =  280,000 words. Foolish Bride will be available March 2017 and Desperate Bride in September 2017. The other two are still question marks.

Grand total = 1,450,000 words to date.

Wow that’s a lot of words and does not include the two books I’m writing at the moment.
