Romance Writers Weekly ~ Spring Has Sprung
This week out topic comes from Leslie Hachtel. She says, Spring is just around the corner. What are you most looking forward to?
In Southern Missouri spring is already here. The trees have their sappy pale green leaves. The rain comes almost every other day. We have days in the 70s and then some in the 40s. We even had a day or two in the 80s last week. I live on a high point in the Ozark mountains, so its been quite windy.
I most look forward to warm weather because I hate the cold. We started working on the flower beds. It’s tough because we’re limiting our outside exposure, but we ran out on a rainy day and bought two trees; a weeping cherry and a magnolia. We just need a few dry days to get that magnolia in the ground.
I did buy my herbs and I’m keeping them alive in pots until it’s time to plant them. No annuals yet. I hope I’ll be able to get some soon. It’s sad not to have those pretty pansies and petunias blooming in the spring.
What flowers make you happy or are you a vegetable gardener?
