Romance Writers Weekly ~ Renovation Romance
Welcome back! The fabulous Jenna Da Sie gave us this weeks topic.
If you could renovate one room in your house, which one would it be and why?
Those of you who follow me, might know that my husband and I built a brand new house in Missouri just two years ago. Thankfully, I’m not sick of any of the rooms yet. LOL However, the one thing we haven’t finished is the wine cellar.
Sounds fancy, right? Not really.
We live in MO where tornadoes are a real threat. That being the case, under our front porch, surrounded by 16 inches of concrete is a safe room.
So what do you do when you have a pretty large underground room? You turn it into a wine cellar, of course.
My husband is super handy and will build in all the fun stuff. I need to find some flooring. I’m always in charge of finishing’s. I need a shopping day to find something rustic and fun but also functional in a basement room that is chilly.
Here are some before pictures for you. When my “builder” gets going, I’ll send during and after shots. I really can’t wait.

They called it The End of Days after humanity met with near annihilation. Ten months later, the real end is coming.
Aileen Grant’s powerful psychic gifts have been nothing but a curse since the day she was born. She’d given up all hope of escaping the demonic grasp of Mictlan, The Lord of the Dead, until an enigmatic thief snatches her out of Hell. With something to live for, she convinces Ian to join her on a treacherous journey to save the world.
Ian Scott is stealing from long-deserted homes when he pulls Aileen’s unconscious body from a strange bolt of lightning. Aileen is the last thing that Ian wants or needs, but her quiet beauty and courageous heart bind him to her in ways he never imagined, and ignite passions he’s never known.
