Romance Writers Weekly ~ Just One More Day
Welcome back!
This week Leslie Hachtel asked, If you could spend an afternoon with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why?
So, this is a tough one for me. I’m happily married and consider myself extremely luck to have found a second love in life. My husband, Dave is the best man I know.
However, if I could spend one afternoon with someone, anyone, it would be my first husband, Jimmy. I’d say all the things I should have said when he was alive. He knew I loved him, but it would be nice to say it all over again. To have a few precious hours to laugh and talk. He was sick at the end, and there was very little joy in those final weeks. I’d like an afternoon to make up for that sad time. It will be 19 years since I lost him this December.
And now I’m crying. Tell the people you love how you feel. Tell them every day. Show them every day. Life is so precious and so short. xoxo
