Romance Writers Weekly ~ Happy Valentine’s Day!
Welcome back to the RWW blog hop. This week Leslie Hachtel gave us our topic.
We’re coming up on Valentine’s Day. What is your dream gift to receive this year?
My hubs and I usually keep Valentine’s Day pretty simple. He buys me flowers and maybe we’ll go out to dinner. We are very big on cards and always get each other nice cards. I’ve been saving the cards and notes from him since we met 18 years ago. This year, I’m not sure about going out to dinner. Though, we have a few restaurants in the area where we feel safe.
Also our anniversary is just two weeks after and we generally make a bigger deal of that day.
However, since you asked. LOL
I think the perfect gift would be a romantic dinner cooked by my husband followed by reading a book together on the couch. This is a dream and has never happened. He cooks for me all the time, but he’s not yet read a book with me. LOL. I’ll be thrilled with a romantic movie and popcorn on the couch. That’s a more reasonable and attainable goal.
I was thinking I might talk him into taking me to the Titanic museum this week and we’ll call that our Valentine’s outing. I love a good historic museum. And nothing says romance like a giant ship sinking in the freezing Atlantic. Sorry.
It would be something interesting for both of us. We’re blessed to live in a area with a lot of great museums that have put in Covid protocols in an effort to keep everyone safe. I’d like a nice day out where I felt safe. Those are pretty hard to come by these days.
Keep hopping for Leslie Hachtel

Valentine’s gift from me to you!
I know times are stressful. I you need a little quiet time, I have the perfect escape besides a good book.
If you had over to my EXTRAS page you’ll find some PDF coloring pages for you to print out and color at your leisure. I’ve added a few Valentine one’s for the season, but you’ll also find some of my book covers over there and you can recreate those covers as you like.
ENJOY!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Coloring was a favorite when I was little now well into my 7th decade I’ve rediscovered how delightful it is to color away while drifting on a dream.
Flowers are always welcome.
Thanks for the chance!
