Romance Writers Weekly ~ Banish the Comfort Zone
This is a super fun one this week. It’s all about trying new things.
What was the last NEW thing you tried? Was it a writing in a new genre, tense or something else? It could be skydiving, eating haggis for the first time, meditating at a Buddhist monastery, or really anything at all. Did you learn anything?
I have two things to share:
At the end of last year, I started writing in first person present tense for the first time. AND I LOVE IT! Years ago, I had read some first person and not loved it, but as time has passed, writers have gotten better at it, and I’ve read more and more until I really started to love being inside a character’s head so deeply. So, my new persona, Andie Fenichel writes in first person. She writes contemporary short novels. So far, readers have been loving them. More on this in a few weeks. I’m got a special project that may be here as soon as Mid-April. Can’t wait to tell you all about it.
The second thing that is new to me is, chanting. I read Tina Turner’s book, Happiness Becomes you and have started chanting. I love it and who doesn’t want to be like Tina? She’s awesome. I highly recommend the book and the chanting.
Hop back if you missed Brenda Margriet.
Keep on hopping for Leslie Hachtel!

A beautiful homicide detective and a sexy cold case guy have to team up to find a vicious axe-wielding killer. Brutal murders have shocked the city and all the evidence points to a twin sister once thought dead. So many twists and turns in this action-packed romantic thriller you might get dizzy. And so much passion.
