Romance Writers Weekly ~ Let’s go to The Movies

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on September 21, 2021 by A.S. FenichelSeptember 21, 2021

I’m pretty sure this wonderful question came from Brenda Margriet. She’s one of my favorite Canadians and since the spelling is Canadian, I feel safe to say, it was her clever mind that came up with its. So, here we go… If your favourite book hasn’t been made into a movie yet, who would you cast as the characters? My all time favorite book is Persuasion by Jane Austen and you may know it has been made into a movie many times. I would love to see it done as a modern like they did with Clueless, a modern adaptation … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Just One More Day

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on August 24, 2021 by A.S. FenichelAugust 24, 2021

Welcome back! This week Leslie Hachtel asked, If you could spend an afternoon with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why? So, this is a tough one for me. I’m happily married and consider myself extremely luck to have found a second love in life. My husband, Dave is the best man I know. However, if I could spend one afternoon with someone, anyone, it would be my first husband, Jimmy. I’d say all the things I should have said when he was alive. He knew I loved him, but it would be nice to say it … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ What Feeds Your Soul?

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on August 17, 2021 by A.S. FenichelAugust 17, 2021

We took some time off for the summer, but we’re back and this week I asked – Getting into the dog days now. What do you do to relax? Is it a hobby, laying about in the sun or something else? How do you unwind and how does it feed your soul? I love to garden, but it’s so hot and dry there’s not much to do out in the garden. My herbs and butterfly gardens are still thriving, but again, I just clip and go. However! In this house we love baseball. We love it in all it’s forms. … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Let’s Go To the Movies!

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on July 6, 2021 by A.S. FenichelJuly 6, 2021

Welcome back! This week Leslie Hachtel said, Tell us about your favorite movie and why you watch it over and over again. I have so many. I love to re-watch all or parts of my favorite movies. Anything Jane Austen, but particularly Persuasion. Oh! I love the movie The Holiday where Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet switch homes Rural England for Los Angeles and both fall in love. I know it’s a holiday movie, but I’ll watch it anytime. I mean, Jude Law!!!! Hello!!! Cameron Diaz Getting Drunk GIF from Camerondiaz GIFs Judelaw The Holiday GIF from Judelaw GIFs Hop … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ What’s in A Name?

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on June 29, 2021 by A.S. FenichelJune 29, 2021

Welcome! This week I asked my fellow authors – How do you choose your character’s names? Do you have a system, a book, an app or is it random? I personally usually start with a name that has some meaning. Like in the book I’m writing now the heroin’s name is Esme. Esme means esteemed. It worked for the character and the story because Esme is a truly good person, and her name needed to reflect that. The Hero’s name is William. I liked this because he’s a reluctant war hero, and I just loved the sound of Sir William. … Continue reading →
