Romance Writers Weekly ~ Flash Ficton

A.S. Fenichel Posted on January 12, 2021 by A.S. FenichelJanuary 12, 2021

This week the lovely Brenda Margriet wants us to write Flash Fiction using Happy New Year, cigars, orchids. Here Goes! If one more person wished her a happy new year, she was going to scream. Meghan sighed. Of course, she wouldn’t scream. It was the first week in January and she would hear it dozens of times before the month was out and people forgot there even was a new year. But, for her, there was nothing happy about it. She was alone. Her father was gone, her best friend had moved to Ohio to get married and that very … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Imagine This

A.S. Fenichel Posted on September 1, 2020 by A.S. FenichelSeptember 1, 2020

Christina Alexandra – Write a scene or vignette based on this picture. To see the image we used to create our vignettes go to Christina Alexandra’s page. https://christinaalexandra.net/blog/ Here’s what I saw… Perfect. What more could Sally say about the day. She’d done all her chores and seen to the children. Now her mistress had taken them off to play after a lovely picnic. It had all be exactly as she might have dreamed. She opened the book, it’s blank pages stared back at her. If only she’d thought to bring a pencil, but even that slip up couldn’t dim … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Flash Fiction

A.S. Fenichel Posted on August 4, 2020 by A.S. FenichelAugust 4, 2020

This week is a Flash Fiction. Someone, who didn’t leave there name (mysterious) asked us to Write 500 words and include Pickle, Letter and Looking glass. It was the hardest letter Mary would ever have to write. What a pickle she’d gotten herself into. The house and everything in it would go to auction if she didn’t get help and fast. She had no friends, but her grandma had many and there was one who might be able to assist. With a sigh, she looked over toward the mirror, left to her by her grandmother, with all the rest of … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Flash Fiction

A.S. Fenichel Posted on September 17, 2019 by A.S. FenichelSeptember 17, 2019

Welcome back hoppers! This week’s flash fiction is curtesy of Brenda Margriet – “I missed the last Flash Fiction week, so I decided to assigned it again. Write no more than 500 words using these three words: grandmother, freckle, giant” Oh lord! Grandmother, freckle and giant? Well let’s jump in and see what happens. He was a giant of a man and he was walking directly toward me. I couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe. The Pina Colada in my hand was poised hallway to my mouth and the only thought in my head was, I’m totally out of my league here. … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Flash Fiction

A.S. Fenichel Posted on November 13, 2018 by A.S. FenichelNovember 13, 2018

I’ve been away at Fresh Fiction’s Readers & ‘ritas this past weekend. It was a great time. I met some amazing readers and hobnobbed with some of my favorite authors. It’s good to be home. 😀 This week Jenna Da Sie gave us a task: Write a 500 word or less flash fiction using the words TURKEY, RAIN, and TRAMPOLINE. Here we go… . She watched Madeline bounce on the Trampoline for as long as she could stand the cold. How that child wasn’t frozen with the cold rain, Lily would never know. It was as if the outdoors didn’t bother … Continue reading →
