The Best Hot Cocoa EVER!
The other day my BFF and I went to the local amusement park for their annual craft fair. There were so many beautiful things. Handmade clocks, jewelry, art, wax flowers and so much pottery. I did by some pottery including a new tea mug.
It was a bit chilly, but we were having a great time. I mentioned that it was the perfect day for a nice big mug of Hot Cocoa. Since it’s kind of an old timey themed park, I thought maybe they would have that kind of thing with the homemade marshmallows. She agreed it was the perfect day, but as much as we searched, it seemed the park didn’t have any cocoa. Not even the mini marshmallow out of a can kind.
We finished our shopping and headed out to a place she knew had what I was craving. We drove into Branson and this little quaint shopping area and entered Sugar Leaf Restaurant. The line was outrageous. We waited an hour to order and then twenty minutes for our food to arrive.
Even so, I have to admit, the food was amazing. I had a tuna sandwich that came on dill bread. I’ve never even heard of dill bread, but it was fabulous.
The cocoa came….
It was, without a doubt the best Hot Cocoa I’ve ever had. The chocolate was rich and dark but not too sweet. The marshmallow was homemade and a two inch square of fluffy goodness. As he marshmallow melted it sweetened the cocoa. HEAVEN! If you ever get to Branson, Missouri, you’ll want to check it out. Totally worth the wait. http://www.sugarleaftreats.com/
