Romance Writer’s Weekly ~ What’s Up Next?
Welcome back. Sorry to have missed last week, but I was having a girls’ weekend in Las Vegas. I have fully recovered and I’m ready to roll.
This week, the clever Leslie Hachtel asked, What is the writing project you’re thinking about doing next and why?
Did you come over from Tracey Gee’s blog? If not, be sure to hop back and check her out. She always makes me laugh.
I am totally consumed by my next project. So excited. I just signed a three book contact for The Everton Domestic Society series. The first book, A Lady’s Honor is about Markus Flammel and Phoebe Hallsmith. Phoebe has wasted her best years (according to her mother) nursing her ailing grandmother in Wales. After her grandmother passes, she is forced home to an over bearing mother and bully of a brother. Unable to take any more, she joins the Everton Domestic Society and begins her career in helping others.
Markus Flammel, Viscount of Devonrose lost his wife nearly two years earlier in childbirth. He spent the time since drinking himself into trouble. His baby daughter doesn’t speak and has what’s left of the staff at a loss for what to do. His mother hires an Everton Lady to put it all back together.
There are a lot of issues being dealt with in this book. I’m in love with the premise and the characters already. It will not be available until April 2018, but I have two or three books coming your way before then.
That’s it for me. Be sure to Keep on Hopping over to Leslie Hachtel‘s blog and find out what she’s got going on next.
