Romance Writers Weekly ~ All I Want For Christmas
Hello Hoppers! This is the last RWW hop of the year!
This week Leslie Hachtel asked, If you could get anything in the world you wanted for Christmas, what would it be? If you didn’t come from Jenna Da Sie, be sure to hop back and see what she wants most for Christmas
So, what do I want most for Christmas/Hanukkah? 🙂 Good question.
Let me start by saying that 2016 has been a tough year. We lost a few good friends and we miss them. We had big plans to move and build a new house. The local economy has delayed our selling our current home, so we have not been able to implement that plan yet. Still, I can’t complain. My husband and I are healthy and happy and I’m grateful for that. We live in a beautiful home and we have wonderful friends and family. We love them all!
I have two categories for things I want for Christmas/Hanukkah: The first category is not possible. To see Jimmy smile at me one more time the loving way he always did. I’d love an hour with my father. Just to tell him all the things I’m not sure he heard those last days of his life. I’d like to hug my brother one more time and hear my Grandma Rose laugh again. I can’t have those things, but I remember all the wonderful times I had with the people who have moved on to greater things. I keep them in my heart every day.
The other, I hope I will receive. You can’t put it under the tree, but it’s more precious than diamonds. I want to spend Christmas with people we love and laugh until our sides hurt.
You can’t put a price on that!
Whatever holiday you celebrate, no matter how you go about it. Hug the people you love close. You won’t have them forever. The memories you make today will last you a lifetime.
Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Happy New Year!!! Spread some Love….xoxoxo
I would love to talk to my dad one more time. Hugs to you.
Totally made me weepy. Happy Christmukkah!
