Welcome to the Romance Writers Weekly blog hop. This week Dani Jace said, Villains: Literary, TV/Movie or even real life – Who do you love as a villain and why? Who do you despise and why?
.
I think I want to start with the poor unsuspecting bat. He’s really harmless and does a lot of good, but he’s been associated with vampires and evil for centuries. I like bats, but I don’t want them in my hair. LOL
That brings me to Batman! He’s not called the Dark Knight for nothing. He’s not really good, though we think of him as good. He’s a vigilante who makes his own laws and acts as judge and jury. Still, he’s a wounded soul and we all love him. Interesting….
I noticed that Darth Vadar looks kind of like Batman. LOL Well, just a little. I have a hard time hating Darth. He’s a mess and he certainly does some terrible things, but he comes around in the end. I can see why he became who he is, but imagine what he could have done if he’d made better choices.
.
That brings me to my next point and it’s the most important in my opinion. Without these villains there is no good. You would not be impressed by a hero if they’re wasn’t an evil-doer for them to battle. Without The Joker, who cares about Batman. Without Darth, who cares about Luke, Lea and Han?
.
Keep on hopping and see who’s
Dani Jace’s favorite villain. If you missed Jenna Da Sie you can hop back and see who she loves to hate.
.
Let me leave you with this… I love a good villain, but I also love a woman who can take care of herself without the help of a shining knight. 😉 Check out
The Everton Domestic Society and you’ll see what I mean.
What fun! Thanks for sharing your favorite villains and not-so-villains!
I’m a huge Star Wars fan so I was thrilled to find someone on the blog hop who mentioned Vader!
Happy Halloween!
Thanks, Rachel. I love all things Star Wars or Star Trek. It’s a problem. LOL
I would say it’s a good problem to have!
