Romance Writer’s Weekly ~ Where the Hell is My Muse?
Hello hoppers. I hope you came over from Xio Axelrod’s blog. If not, hop back when you finish here.
.
This week, Jenna Da Sie wants to know: What do you do when writer’s block hits? Share some tips for our fellow writers.
.
Writer’s block strikes us all. Oh yes. I’ll be rolling along in a story and then BAM! No idea why I can’t finish a scene or chapter. So I get up, jump three times and twirl until I want to throw up. Okay, I just made that up. I wish I had a great secret way to get your muse back. I can only tell you what I do. Here it comes… I take a break and then push through. Even if what I write sucks, I keep on writing. It’s slow going. It’s painful. I will probably have to rewrite the thing when I’m all done. It makes no difference. Keep on writing until you have moved past whatever issues are holding you up. Eventually, that crabby muse will find her way back and you’ll be flying through the next scene. And if not, try the hopping and spinning thing. It sounds like a winner. 😉
.
You know S. C. Mitchell has a tip or two for you. Hop on and find out what he does when the muse abandons him.

I love your never-stop-writing attitude. I totally believe in it, even if it doesn’t always work for me, lol.
I will have to push through the block and keep writing! Even if it it bad at least I will have something on the page.
