Hey there, Hoppers! Hope you’ve had a wonderful week. It’s beautiful weather here in Texas. Some rain but mostly blue skies and mild weather.

I am the culprit again this week. A.S. Fenichel asked, Where is your favorite place in the world and why? Share some pictures if you can. Does this place wind up in your books? Feel free to share more than one.

Did you hop  over from Leslie Hachtel ? You can always hop back, but before you do, let me tell you about my favorite spot.

For me the most perfect place is Sorrento, Italy. I love it there. Actually, I love all of Italy, but Sorrento stole my heart with it’s gorgeous vineyards, olive groves and stunning views of the sea. Cool breezes and friendly people will have you begging to go back. Wake up to the soft scent of lemon trees in bloom, have a lazy breakfast at the villa, then troop into town for a walk along the water. What’s for lunch? For us, it was usually a homemade pizza margarita and a fresh salad. Take a day trip to the Isle of Capri or the ruins at Pompeii. Both are magnificent, you won’t be disappointed. Or just lay around and watch the people go by. There’s no rush here. Have dinner in one of the fabulous restaurants scattered around town or right in the square. Everyone gathers there in the evening. Sorrento is a culture you will never get enough of. Sigh… I’m ready to go back.
