Romance Writers Weekly ~ Guilty Pleasure
Welcome back to the RWW blog hop. This week Leslie Hachtel wants me to… “Name your favorite guilty pleasure.”
If you missed J.J. Devine, just hop around until you come back to the start.
.
So….What’s my guilty pleasure. I actually have several but I’m trying to narrow it down. Of course there’s reading. I sometimes have to hold off starting a book so I can: 1 get some sleep and 2 get my work done. There’s nothing like a great book/series to pull you in and keep you from the things you need to do.
.
I love sweets, hence my dress size. Oh well, I just love a good piece of chocolate, preferably dark chocolate with sea salt. It’s dreamy, creamy and gets all my taste buds firing.
.
I think my biggest guilty pleasure is to hide. I love to find a quiet corner and hide from the world. Over the years, I’ve learned this is not really healthy for long stretches and I have a husband who keeps me from becoming a hermit. Still, a quiet day where I don’t have to see anyone and I can read or watch mindless reruns of Star Trek is heaven. I can lay on the couch in my pajamas with popcorn and snack while the cat and dog try to figure out why I’m not rushing around “getting stuff done”. But they love it because they too can lay around on the couch with me. If it wasn’t for the dog needing walks, I would not even open a door all day. <<sigh>>
.
The real trick to a good guilty pleasure is not bothering to feel guilty about it. 😉
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I did a fun video reading the beginning of Desperate Bride with a little insight at the end. Check it out on YouTube https://youtu.be/YRWFBxpVVf0

Also, I have a great giveaway going on.
