Romance Writer’s Weekly ~ Ghosts and Goblins
Welcome back to the hop! I’ve been blogging a lot lately, so I hope you’re following along with this and that. 🙂
This week Dani Jace said, One day away from Halloween. Have you ever seen a ghost or witnessed something paranormal? Received a sign from a loved one in the hereafter? If not, share the oddest thing that’s ever happened to you that you can’t explain.
When I was a kid my mother was very into New Age stuff and we went to seances, card reading, and
psychic what-not all the time. I’m a sceptic, but I saw some stuff that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
.
As a teen, we played around with the ouiji board. I still won’t go near one of those things. It was some freaky shit. No….really! I’ve got chills just thinking about it.
.
I worked for a fashion company for a few years and we had manufacturing in Savannah, GA. I stayed in the 17hundred90 Inn . This hotel reportedly was the spot where a young woman jumped from the window after her lover was lost at sea. They say she still walks the halls. Muahahaha……
What do you think? Do you believe in ghosts? Keep hopping to find out what Leslie Hachtel thinks.
Or If you missed Brenda Margriet you can always go back.
Be sure to pick up your copy of Desperate Bride for just .99 cents before it goes back to regular price.
An unexpected promise . . . an everlasting passion.
Â
An accomplished musician, Dorothea Flammel has refused more proposals than any London debutante; her only true love is her music. Dory’s shimmering talent and beauty have long been adored from afar by Thomas Wheel, an untitled gentleman who can only dream of asking for the hand of a nobleman’s daughter. But when her father, the insolvent Lord Flammel, arranges for Dory to marry a lecherous Earl in order to pay off a debt, she runs to Thomas—and proposes marriage to him.
Â
Eloping to Scotland saves Dory from a disastrous fate, but what is for her a mere marriage of convenience proves more passionate—and more complex—than either imagined as rumors, scandal, and buried emotions come to light. And when a vengeful challenge from a drunken and embittered Lord Flammel puts Thomas’s life on the line, will the fragile trust between husband and wife be enough to save them both?
