Romance Writers Weekely ~ Ask the Author
We’re on a roll! This week I’m back again with my fellow Romance Writers Weekly crew. Leslie Hachtel wants to know; If you could ask any author (living or dead) one question, what would it be?
If you didn’t come over from Leslie’s blog, be sure to hop back.
I know, I know… I’ve said it before. Still, my obsession with Jane Austen continues. She had this beautiful way of making the daily mundane things in her life and the lives of her characters interesting and wondrous.
Ex: Three sisters. One only a child, one of marriageable age and very pretty and the oldest beyond consideration as her “bloom had faded”. Their father dies and all his assets are entailed to an older brother from a previous marriage. They move into a cottage on the property of their mother’s cousin. This should not be a great story, but somehow we care about what happens to Elinor and Marianne. We want them to be happy and find love in spite of all the odds being against them, or maybe because they are. If I could go back and find out what happened to little Margaret when she grew up, I would.
Jane has inspired me in every way, in every word. If she were here today I would ask her if she was happy in her own life or did she only find happiness in the lives of her characters?
She never married though had two suitors that we know of. She chose to fend for herself rather than marry where she didn’t love. I probably would pepper her with questions. LOL.
What about you? Do you have questions for authors? You may feel free to ask me anything. 😀
What question is Brenda Margriet asking and to whom? Find out Here.
