Romance Writers Weekly ~ Whatcha Readin’

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on October 1, 2019 by A.S. FenichelSeptember 29, 2019

This week Leslie Hachtel wants to know, the best book I’ve read lately. I have been reading Garth Stein’s The Art of Racing in the Rain. I have not seen the movie yet. I can tell you I was crying on page one and several times since. Thus, it is taking me some time to get through the book. Written from the dog’s POV it begins from the end of his perfect little life and goes backward. It’s sad and touching and I’m afraid to get to the end. Now if you want something that will keep you totally riveted … Continue reading →

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on September 24, 2019 by A.S. FenichelSeptember 24, 2019

Welcome back! Here’s our topic… A.S. Fenichel – I do a lot of research or my books. Tell us one or more fun/interesting thing you recently learned in your research So this one came from me. I recently have been doing a lot of research on the French Revolution. Not so surprising since I write Regency Historical and there is a great deal of overlap from Napoleon’s time and the Prince Regent. My current work in progress is set in 1808 and a lot of espionage is afoot. Some things I learned: During this time, the methods of intelligence gathering, … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Flash Fiction

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on September 17, 2019 by A.S. FenichelSeptember 17, 2019

Welcome back hoppers! This week’s flash fiction is curtesy of Brenda Margriet – “I missed the last Flash Fiction week, so I decided to assigned it again. Write no more than 500 words using these three words: grandmother, freckle, giant” Oh lord! Grandmother, freckle and giant? Well let’s jump in and see what happens. He was a giant of a man and he was walking directly toward me. I couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe. The Pina Colada in my hand was poised hallway to my mouth and the only thought in my head was, I’m totally out of my league here. … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly – On This Day

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on September 10, 2019 by A.S. FenichelSeptember 10, 2019

From me again this week – Tomorrow is my birthday. I know, things got terrible on this day in 2001. Where were you that day? What do you remember? What stood out to you? What was your “silver lining” takeaway? I was just getting into work. It was my birthday and I was feeling pretty good. Just as I walked in the first plane struck. Soon after the second and before we knew it my husband was calling to tell me they were both gone. I’ll never forget the television coverage that night. I wish I could unsee much of … Continue reading →
