A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on July 21, 2020 by A.S. FenichelJuly 21, 2020

This week Leslie Hachtel is lookig for some summer dishes – “Summer and it’s hot. What is your favorite meal to cool off? Recipe please.” This is my new favorite because it’s served cool and has tons of flavor while still being extremely healthy. There is no raw fish, so don’t be afraid. It comes from my Paleo Magzine where I get many great recepies. Keep on hopping for Leslie Hachtel Hop back if you missed Jenna Da Sie

This weeks topic come from Brenda Margriet – Let’s go on a Travel Hop! Share the places and activities in the area around your home that you would recommend to someone visiting. Include photos and links so we can make future plans. Brenda Margriet I live just outside of Branson, MO in the heart of the Ozarks. It’s stunningly beautiful here with mountains and lakes. Once you’ve had your fill of swimming, boating, fishing vistas and all the fun things to do on the lake, you might give downtown a try or maybe visit Silver Dollar City, our theme park. … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ The Desert Island

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on July 7, 2020 by A.S. FenichelJuly 7, 2020

From Leslie Hachtel – If you were stranded on a desert island, what three books would you want with you and why? This is so hard! Only three books to read over and over again for who knows how long. Here’s my best answers: Jane Austen Persuasion. I love this book so much. It’s the quintessential second chance romance. And that letter from Captain Wentworth at the end… To die for. “I can listen no longer in silence.  I must speak to you by such means as are within my reach.  You pierce my soul.  I am half agony, half … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ What’s in a Name

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on June 30, 2020 by A.S. FenichelJune 30, 2020

This week’s topic came from me, A.S. Fenichel. I asked the group, how do you choose your character’s names? Do you have a system, a book, an app or is it random? I have a couple of methods for character naming. Usually, for my main characters, I try to find a name that not only sounds right, but also has the appropriate meaning. I have a baby naming book and I use baby naming websites for this. The baby naming sites are also great for characters who are from cultures whose names I’m less familar with. I recently had a … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ What’s Your Trope?

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on June 23, 2020 by A.S. FenichelJune 23, 2020

This week Brenda Margriet asked – What’s your favourite romance trope to read and/or write? Friends to Lovers? Marriage of convenience? Second chances? I love a good enemies to lovers? I also love forced proximity. I use the first in The Earl Not Taken and the second in Misleading A Duke. I love to read second chance tropes. There’s nothing quite like love the second time around. As a widow myself, I sometimes read and write about widows. I like the idea of finding love a second time, which I did. Sometimes, like in my Wallflowers of West Lane series, … Continue reading →
