Romance Writers Weekly ~ Inspiration

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on November 2, 2021 by A.S. FenichelNovember 2, 2021

Welcome back! This week, My friend Clair Brett want’s to know: Where do you find inspirations for your book ideas? Loaded question alert! The honest answer is…. Everywhere and Nowhere! Not very satisfying, though. Let me be more specific. I’ve had story ideas come from dreams, overhead conversations, a random comment from a friend, and so many more moments in my life. My first published book, Mayan Afterglow was inspired by a dream and a “call” for submissions by a publisher. The publisher wanted stories about the End of Days. The dream was about a court jester stealing jewels from … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Spooktacular Flash Fiction

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on October 26, 2021 by A.S. FenichelOctober 26, 2021

The challenge is to write Halloween Flash Fiction – Write the start to a story with the words Dead, Kiss and Skeleton in it. Everyone has a few skeletons in their closet. I’m no exception. As I stand in my black body stocking with bones and wonder why I didn’t gowith something a bit sexier. I look ridiculous. I guess that’s the point, butplaying dead is not exactly my idea of a good time even if it is Halloween. My bestie, Jane’s costume is a mad scientist and she needed a body to gowith her. I couldn’t say no. If … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Sports?

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on October 19, 2021 by A.S. FenichelOctober 19, 2021

This week Brenda Margriet wants to know NHL, NBA, NFL, WNBA, FIFA – Do these acronyms mean anything to you? Are you a sports fan, and if so, of what team/sport? Brenda is from Canada and totally left out MLB. LOL… I’m a huge baseball fan. We’re a Yankees household, but all Baseball is good in my opinion. We love the Little League World Series on TV, We love going up to Omaha for the College World Series. Basically, we love BASEBALL. Why baseball, you might ask. I know a lot of people think it’s slow and boring, but you’d … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Fall Is In The Air

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on October 5, 2021 by A.S. FenichelOctober 5, 2021

Fall is here in the US! It’s my favorite season. What do you love about the autumn or do you have another favorite season? Here’s is a picture of Fall where I live. I don’t live on the lake, but we’re about ten minutes away. Not bad, huh? The weather has already turned cooler, but it’s still warm during the day. I love the cool nights and warm breezy days. It really doesn’t get any better than that. Don’t get me wrong. I love summer and spring too. Winter, not as much. LOL But there is something about a crisp … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ Writing Bliss

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on September 28, 2021 by A.S. FenichelSeptember 28, 2021

It was my turn to choose the topic. I asked my fellow authors, What’s your favorite thing about being a writer and why? Well, it’s not the fame and fortune. LOL Though that would be alright too. The best part about being a writer is the writing. I know that sounds simple and maybe not very enlightening, but it’s the truth. Here’s what you may not know. A good portion of most writers’ days are spent in career pursuits that do not include writing. That’s right…Most of us have to carve out the time for the actual writing. You would … Continue reading →
