Romance Writers Weekly ~ Where Does She Get Those Stories?

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on August 2, 2016 by A.S. FenichelAugust 2, 2016

Taking the baton from Jenna Da Sie this morning. If you missed her, you can hop back here. – This week’s topic is from me! – Choose one of your books and tell us where the idea came from. Was it a dream, an overheard conversation, did it spark from a previous book you wrote? How did the idea come to you and how did it evolve into a full story. – With my upcoming release of the first Forever Brides book, I thought it would be nice to tell you a bit about how I came up with Tainted … Continue reading →

Fairy Tale Friday ~ Puss in Boots

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on July 29, 2016 by A.S. FenichelJuly 29, 2016

Do you know this one? It’s about another miller. I wonder why so many of these stories start with a miller. Anyway, this miller has three sons and when he dies he only has 3 possessions to leave them. The eldest son gets the mill the second an ass and the youngest a cat. Seems a bit unfair at the time, but the cat (who speaks and no one is surprised by this) convinces the youngest son not to eat him, to buy him a pair of fine boots and promises he will make it worth it in the end. So, … Continue reading →

Romance Writers Weekly ~ It’s All About Setting, Or Not

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on July 26, 2016 by A.S. FenichelJuly 26, 2016

Welcome back to the Romance Writers Weekly Blog Hop. #lovechatwrite Did you make your way here from Leslie Hachtel’s blog? I hope so, because that means you’re already in the MOOD. And this week’s topic was Leslie’s idea. – Leslie Hachtel wants to know if, a writer I know sets her mood with candles and music that suit her characters. Fairy Tale Friday ~ Rumpelstiltskin

A.S. Fenichel / Andie Fenichel Posted on July 22, 2016 by A.S. FenichelJuly 22, 2016

Do you know the story of Rumpelstiltskin? I don’t know if it’s as popular as some others. Disney never made a movie about it. Probably because its all about greed. Here’s an abbreviation of the story according to my book of nursery rhymes. There was once a miller who was poor, but he had a beautiful daughter. It happened he had an audience with the king and to make himself look important he told the king that he had a daughter who could spin gold out of straw. The king ordered the miller to bring his daughter to the castle … Continue reading →
